Fundraising

Integrative Anatomy and Integrative Anatomy Student Association merchandise is now online. All proceeds from the store support graduate student research and conference travel.

Attending professional conferences is an important part of our training to be scientific researchers. These meetings allow us to hear about exciting new work in our fields of study, practice presenting our research to colleagues, allow us to demonstrate the quality of research conducted at Mizzou, and network with scientists at other universities to form collaborative projects or find jobs after we graduate. For these reasons, students in IASA are encouraged to attend at least one conference each academic year.

Our student members will be presenting their projects at scientific society meetings around the country including the Society for Vertebrate Paleontology , the American Association of Physical Anthropologists, the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology, and the International Congress of Vertebrate Morphology.

While funding opportunities to attend conferences are available through several organizations on campus, often these are not sufficient to fully cover the costs of registration, travel, and lodging associated with a multi-day conference. We hold fundraisers throughout the year to help offset the cost to our students to attend these meetings.

If you would like to support our student research efforts, please consider donating directly, or buying one of our cool T-shirts shown below. Every little bit helps! We appreciate your support in helping us continue doing what we love- sharing our research with our colleagues and community!
